Purchased Pieces

Every piece of art I sell feels like an orphaned child finding a home. There are a few unsold pieces I am keeping for myself.

Thick paint, almost as still wet, applied with intentionally broad and wide palette knife strokes, depicts a water scene in northern Italy. The painting draws on the architecture and landscape surrounding Lake Garde in primary colors, with blue and orange as dominant contrasting hues.

A thick pyrrole red, cloudless sky dominates the landscape with very limited palette knife strokes, some traversing the entire width without interuption. Bold blue olive trees suggest an orchard and a small country home.
